Appleby Emergency Response Group was formed in the aftermath of the flooding events of 2015 and 2016.  The Group was first constituted in February 2017 and is now a registered charity. We have a team of volunteers who work in conjunction with the emergency services and other appropriate authorities and are ready to support people affected by emergencies in the Parish of Appleby-in-Westmorland.  Our purpose is to assist the community to prepare, respond and recover from an emergency.
