Appleby Emergency Response Group was formed in the aftermath of the flooding events of 2015 and 2016. The Group was first constituted in February 2017 and is now a registered charity. The Group is governed by a Management Committee who are elected annually at the Group’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Groups Officer’s are also elected at this meeting. The members of the Management Committee and Elected Officers following the AGM held on Thursday 4th February 2021 are: Jim Chalmers (Chairman), Mary Mackenzie (Secretary), Tim Parkin (Treasurer), Freddie Potts (Vice Chairman), Colin Smith, Amanda Wallbank, Gareth Hayes, Ian Mycock, John Ashman and Carol Barker,
The Group employees a part time Co-ordinator to manage the Group’s administration.
