We now have a network of 15 Street Wardens in place covering the whole town. They have posted their contact details through letter boxes. We can offer assistance with essential shopping, collecting prescriptions and dog walking but only for those who do not have the support of family, friends and neighbours. It is important at this difficult time that we all support each other.
We are working with Low Howgill Butchers and Deli together with other local businesses to ensure that those without any other support can have essential shopping delivered to their homes. This system protects both the community and volunteers as it does not involve our volunteers in any financial transactions.
Shopping orders for essential items can be telephoned to Low Howgill Butchers and Deli on 017683 51644 before mid day for delivery the following afternoon. Sorry no alcohol or tobacco. Low Howgill Butchers and Deli will take a card payment over the phone when you order is ready to be delivered.
Our volunteers are supporting Low Howgills Butchers and Deli by shopping for the items from other local shops. We have a rota of 2 volunteers per day covering 6 days a week assisting with this.
If you need a prescription collecting and delivering please contact your Street Warden who will arrange for you to complete a form which authorises us to collect the prescription on your behalf. Once the prescription is ready it will be collected and delivered.
